Anoka Hennepin Credit Union donates $2,500 to district’s child nutrition program
(06/04/2020) On June 3, Anoka Hennepin Credit Union (AHCU) presented a check to Anoka-Hennepin Superintendent David Law and Noah Atlas, the district’s child nutrition director, in the amount of $2,500 to support the child nutrition program.
Since the implementation of distance learning, the Anoka-Hennepin child nutrition program has provided over 600,000 meals to children.
“With generous donations like this one from the Anoka Hennepin Credit Union, we will be able to continue to support our communities and students by providing meals and financial assistance,” Atlas said. “We would like to thank the Anoka Hennepin Credit Union and its members for their support.”
Anoka Hennepin Credit Union vice president of marketing, Toni Gerard, presented the check to Law and Atlas during meal pickup at Jackson Middle School - A Specialty School for Math and Science.
“Anoka Hennepin Credit Union is proud to be supporting our schools and keeping our students healthy until they are able to get back together again,” Gerard said.
AHCU is a community-based nonprofit financial institution and is a member-owned cooperative governed by a member-elected volunteer board of directors.
