Technology expansion and device distribution for kindergarten through grade three
As our distance learning plan evolves, Anoka-Hennepin will expand our distance learning plan to an online format for students in kindergarten, first, second, and third grades. Many of you have responded to our survey that you have the technology needed to go online for your student. For those who require a device, please carefully read the following information.
The district will be providing Chromebooks to students in kindergarten, first, second and third grades. The time and date for device distribution is Tuesday, April 7 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is for parents/guardians of students in grades first, second and thirds along with kindergarten students only.
9:30 - 10:30 a.m.Student last names beginning with A-E
10:30 - 11:30 a.m. Student last names beginning with F-J
12 - 1 p.m.Student last names beginning with K-O
1 - 2 p.m.Student last names beginning with P-T
2 - 3 p.m.Student last names beginning with U-Z
3 - 4 p.m. Open time for any that missed their timeslot
You’ll need a student identification number to be issued a device. Be assured that the pickup of educational materials is an approved activity for parents/guardians in relation to the state’s “stay at home” order.
When you arrive at the school, please stay inside your vehicle instead of parking and coming inside. We will use the bus loop in the back of the school on Meadowwood Drive. Traffic will move in a single file line to the next location, staff will ask your name and identification number and retrieve your Chromebook. Simply follow the directions we'll have on-site, and the process will move as efficiently as possible.
Parents/guardians who cannot make this distribution time should call the school office at 763-506-3600 to make alternate plans.
Thank you for your cooperation during this distance learning time in our school.
