(12/09/2022) In September, students and staff at Monroe Elementary School - Mathematics, Science and Children’s Engineering were surprised with a donation of backpacks and school supplies from Office Depot. 

Through the Office Depot Start Proud!® Program, 1,000 backpacks filled with notebooks, composition books, crayons, pencils, highlighters and more were distributed to students at both Monroe and Evergreen Park Elementary: STEM School of Innovation. 

Fast forward to Dec. 5, when staff at Monroe showed up to work prepared for a staff development day only to learn of another surprise. Teachers and staff members loaded school buses for a surprise trip to Office Depot in Maple Grove, where they would soon go on a shopping spree for classroom supplies thanks to a donation of over $50,000.
