Track your student's regular bus routes in real-time with the new FirstView app
Anoka-Hennepin is now offering families a transportation app to monitor their regular school bus route in real-time. It’s called FirstView.
“Parents/guardians have asked for an app,” said Keith Paulson, director of transportation. “While our buses have a tremendous on-time performance record, there are inclement weather and traffic delays that do occur. This app provides families the necessary information to know when their bus will arrive.”
Not only can families see if their bus is running late, they also can see the anticipated length of any delay, an estimated arrival time and if a substitute is driving the route. Email, push and/or text notifications can inform families of such information instantly. Best of all, it’s free for parents/guardians to use.
“The FirstView app is giving families timely information that will be especially helpful as we approach winter,” said Paulson.
FirstView can be downloaded from app stores. On-screen directions walk first time users through the easy setup process. More details are at ahschools.us/BusApp.
