Invitation: American Indian trimester celebration and public hearing night
(12/20/18) Join with students, parents and guardians to review and comment on the Anoka-Hennepin School District’s American Indian education program in January.
At the American Indian trimester celebration and public hearing night, set for 5:45 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 10, 2019, at Coon Rapids Middle School, located at 11600 Raven St., attendees will enjoy a meal and discussion, and celebrate the academic, cultural and community service achievements of the district’s American Indian students.
With the goal of providing parents, guardians and students a stronger voice in programming, a public presentation and feedback session will be held at the start of the event, along with the meal. This part of the event will replace the American Indian Public Hearing which has been presented to the School Board annually in February. A ceremony recognizing first trimester achievements will cap off the evening.
