Follow Anoka-Hennepin’s social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter
(02/01/19) From students and staff doing amazing things in the classroom, to breaking weather alerts about districtwide school closures thanks to the snow or cold — keeping up with what’s going on in Anoka-Hennepin has never been easier thanks to social media.
Anoka-Hennepin is on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter:
Importantly, the district's Facebook and Twitter accounts are verified. (We’re working on Instagram.) In an era when parody and impersonation Facebook and Twitter accounts are more popular than ever, being verified means you can trust the messages sent from the district’s social media accounts.
Sure, the district shares news on its website and within e-newsletters, but anytime Anoka-Hennepin’s leaders have breaking news that they feel students, parents and guardians, staff and the community needs to know about, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter are sometimes the first places that news is posted.
It’s worth noting: while Anoka-Hennepin will share districtwide news first on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, important school-specific news will still be shared via email, phone call or text through the district’s AHlert/InTouch messaging platform, and not necessarily the district social media accounts.
