In-Touch Message from the Principal, April 26, 2019

Hello Jackson Middle School families, this is Mr. Hagerty, your Principal, with just a few announcements from your child’s school.

Please circle Thursday, May 2, on your calendar for our signature Specialty School event called the Jackson Arts and Academic Expo combined with Parent-Teacher Conferences. Teachers will be available in their classrooms beginning at 3:25 for you to drop in without an appointment to check the progress of your child. Please stick around for the 5th Grade Welcome and our Arts and Academic Expo happening throughout our school until 8:00 p.m.

Next, another amazing event at Jackson will take place on Wednesday, May 22. Our Multicultural Family Night will begin at 3:30 and finish at 5:30 p.m. We’d love for you to join us as we celebrate our kids and our diverse community. The event will include student performances and food donated by local businesses. All Jackson Middle School community members are welcome as we spend the evening celebrating the diversity of talent that makes up our Specialty School. This is a free event.

Lastly, I want to say thank you yet again for your cooperation and understanding during the last two weeks of MCA math and reading exams for our students. I am so proud of how patient our students are during these high-stakes tests. We have one more MCA exam left - 8th grade only will be taking the MCA Science test on Tuesday, May 7.

Thank you and enjoy the beautiful weather today.

Tom Hagerty
