In-Touch Message from the Principal, May 6, 2019

Hello, Jackson Middle School families, this is Mr. Hagerty, your Principal, with just a few announcements from your child’s school to start the week.

First, this week we celebrate our staff for National Teacher Appreciation Week. If you get a moment to send a quick e-mail or note to a teacher that has had a positive impact on your child, please do so.  It will mean the world to them.

Next, we have one more MCA exam left. Grade 8 only will be taking the MCA Science test tomorrow, Tuesday, May 7. Please make sure your 8th grader gets a good night’s sleep and a healthy breakfast. We also have the option of a hot breakfast or a Grab’n Go at JMS when they arrive.

Lastly, make sure your student has turned in all of the permission slips and payment for their upcoming student experiences. Grade 6 will be attending Physics Day at Nickelodeon Park on May 15, grade 7 will be attending Life Science Day at the Minnesota Zoo on May 29, and grade 8 will be attending Valleyfair on June 5 as a celebration of their final days at JMS.

Thank you for attending our Arts and Academic Expo last Thursday. We appreciate all the support you give to our staff and most importantly to your students - it makes a difference. Take care.
