Message from the Principal, August 16, 2019
Hello parents, guardians, and students of Jackson Middle School. This is Mr. Hagerty, your Jackson Principal, and I want to welcome you back to the 2019-2020 academic school year. I hope you had a tremendous summer. I have some important messages to start the preparations for school.
First, a reminder that you can receive my messages by voicemail, e-mail, or text message by logging into your AHConnect account or by calling 763-506-HELP(4357) and selecting the method that is most convenient for you. All family members will need to log in or set up an account with AHConnect in order to view student schedules at the end of August.
A series of messages will be sent to you in the coming weeks so that you don’t miss any important information regarding the upcoming school year. You should have already received our summer newsletter and an additional mailing that contains information to ensure your student’s successful start at JMS. All of these documents are available on our Jackson website, https://www.ahschools.us/jms, and then selecting school news/announcements and then clicking on flyers & handouts or you can click here.
Next, all 6th grade students should have also received a mailing inviting them to our 6th grade WEB orientation including bus transportation for Wednesday, August 21, at Jackson Middle School beginning at 8:30 a.m. School buses will run their regular routes to pick up students who would normally be riding school-provided transportation or you may drop off your child in the JMS east lot by 8:20 a.m. Selected 8th grade WEB leaders will begin their mandatory training at JMS on Monday morning, August 19.
Lastly, included in the mailing is information about our Passport Day on Friday, August 23, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Students will have their school pictures taken for student ID’s and yearbook, receive their class schedules and locker assignments in addition to many other opportunities for your family prior to the school year.
As always, feel free to call us at 763-506-5200 if you have any questions. I am excited to see all of our students in the next few weeks. Enjoy these final days of summer break.
