Message from the Principal, October 11, 2019

Good afternoon parents and guardians, this is Mr. Hagerty, your Principal at Jackson Middle School, our Specialty School for Math and Science.

First, students were given their student picture ID’s in Advisory this week along with picture packets, if you had ordered them. We had our first picture re-take day on October 10, but we will be scheduling a second re-take day because not all families have received their picture packets. We will inform you of that date once it is set.

Next, by clicking on the link underneath the School Overview section of our Jackson Middle School website called school news/announcements and then clicking on flyers/handouts for parents/guardians you will find all of the October information that we have previously sent home in paper form in the Grey Envelope.  You can also access the folder here.

Third, the first mid-trimester reports were distributed to students this morning in Advisory, Friday, October 11.  If you have questions about your child’s academic progress, please reach out to their teacher or log onto AHConnect from our website.  A reminder that Parent-Teacher Conferences will take place after school on October 22, 24, and 29.

Lastly, our first school activity night and dance will take place on Friday, October 25. This is our annual Halloween Dance and Activity night.  Tickets are $5 and will be sold the week of the dance.  6th grade students will be invited for the after school activity from 3:15 to 5:15 and 7th and 8th grade students will be invited from  6 – 8 pm.  More specifics will be sent out closer to the date and can be found on our website.

Thank you and have a good evening.
