Message from the Principal, October 16, 2019

Good afternoon parents and guardians, this is Mr. Hagerty, your Principal at Jackson Middle School, Specialty School for Math and Science, with two messages for you today.

First, I want to explain the details regarding our upcoming Halloween Activity Night and dance on Friday, October 25. Although we do not allow costumes and candy during the school day, we will have a costume contest at each of the Activity dances.  6th grade students will be invited right after school with all 6th graders to be picked up by 5:30.  7th and 8th grade students are invited back to the Halloween Dance with Door #3 opening at 6 p.m. and concluding at 8 p.m.  There will be bathrooms and changing rooms available for students to put on their costumes both after school for grade 6 and then at 6 p.m. for grades 7 and 8.  All school rules apply at our activity nights and only Jackson students will be allowed into the dance.  Tickets will be sold before school and during lunches next week for $5.  Tickets will not be available at the door to the dance.

Lastly, a reminder to all of our families that on a daily basis our school doors do not open until 8:10 a.m. with the exception of Door #4 which opens for breakfast at 8:00 a.m. As the temperatures fall, it is important that students are not being dropped off prior to these times.  All student drop off and pick up must be done in our East Pool parking lot.

Continue to follow our message for success at Jackson:  Work Hard, Make Good Choices, and Be Kind.

Thank you and enjoy the weekend.
