After-school and evening activities canceled for Monday, April 28, 2025

(04/28/2025) After-school and evening activities in the Anoka-Hennepin School District have been canceled for today, Monday, April 28, 2025, due to severe weather forecasted in the late afternoon and early evening. Adventures Plus school-age care will remain open until all children have been picked up. This cancellation includes the regular School Board meeting.
 
Details about what is canceled:

  • “Late” activity buses are canceled.
  • Any scheduled parent-teacher conferences are canceled.
  • Community Education activities and classes have been canceled, including Adult Basic Education, Adult Learning, Aquatics, Community School programs, Early
  • Childhood Family Education, Project Power and Preschool. See the Community Education website for more details.
  • School buildings and other school facilities will be closed to the public. 
  • Extra-curricular school activities, games (including away games), school concerts, school plays and practices, etc. are canceled.
  • Meetings are canceled.

Details about transportation home:

  • Students will be transported home in the usual manner.
  • Call the school, the Transportation Department at 763-506-1125 or the bus company in the event that your child is unusually late returning home.

Staff on late shifts:

  • Staff who have questions about whether or not they report to work for a late shift should contact their supervisor for direction.
