(07/01/2024) Roosevelt Middle School (RMS) Principal, Tom Shaw, has been named Director of Student Services for Anoka-Hennepin Schools. He will begin serving in this role effective July 8, 2024. 

The school district will begin the process to select a new principal immediately so that the position is filled by the start of the 2024-25 school year. 

Feedback to identify the qualities and characteristics of the new RMS principal is an important part of the selection process. Feedback can be provided in-person at an upcoming community meeting or by sharing in a Google Form. 

• Community meeting: RMS family members, staff, students, and community members are encouraged to join us for a community meeting on Monday, July 8 at 6 p.m. at RMS. 
  
  
• Online form: Complete this form to provide input. Comments are kept confidential and only available to the interview team. 

District administrators will review feedback provided to understand the experience and knowledge that the school community seeks in a new principal for the 2024-25 school year. 

Interviews for the new principal at RMS will begin in the coming weeks to name a new principal by the end of July to ensure a strong start of the school year.
