District specialty school programs to hold open house opportunities
(11/06/2020) Anoka-Hennepin has 13 specialty/magnet schools and programs. Each specialty/magnet school offers the same core curriculum as other district schools, but with a unique emphasis, including: the arts; science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM/STEAM); and International Baccalaureate (IB).
Anoka-Hennepin specialty schools and magnet programs are free public schools designed to provide family choice. Students within the district are eligible to attend any of the specialty schools via Northwest Suburban Integration School District (transportation provided) or in-district transfer.
Elementary, middle and high school specialty programs will hold a variety of open house events throughout November and December. Below is a breakdown of open house events by specialty school program.
