Three Anoka-Hennepin School Board seats up for election Nov. 5
(08/16/2019) All three incumbents and one challenger filed candidacy for election to the Anoka-Hennepin School Board during the two-week filing period that ended Aug. 15. The general election is set for Tuesday, Nov. 5.
- In District 1, which represents Anoka and portions of Ramsey, Coon Rapids and Andover, incumbent Tom Heidemann of Anoka, and Erin Heers-McArdle, also of Anoka, have filed for candidacy.
- Incumbent Marci Anderson of Blaine is the only candidate who filed for election in District 2, which represents Blaine and a portion of Coon Rapids.
- In District 5, which represents Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park, Fridley and a portion of Coon Rapids, incumbent Nicole Hayes of Brooklyn Park is the only candidate who filed for election in District 5.
The terms for incumbent members of each district expire on Dec. 31, 2019. The terms for all three district seats on the School Board will expire on Dec. 31, 2023.
