Students at Evergreen Park World Cultures Community School participate in first Tiger Walk of Fame of the school year
(09/27/19) Every month during the school year a group of students at Evergreen Park World Cultures Community School in Brooklyn Center are honored as “Students of the Month.” The day of recognition starts out with breakfast with the principal and is concluded with a joyous walk around the school, which gives all students, teachers and staff the opportunity to congratulate the month’s winners.
This month, students were selected based on the school’s four expectations for all students: know yourself, show yourself, build community, and seek solutions. Students are nominated by their teachers and selected based on the monthly goals of the school.
During breakfast with Principal Denise Schnabel, students participated in team-building activities and learned more about their classmates. During the morning announcements, Schnabel read the names of each student, and the entire school made their way into the hallway as “Eye of the Tiger” was played over the speakers.
