Champlin Park High School International Baccalaureate program featured in worldwide webinar
(09/18/2020) Chris Baker-Raivo, one of the leaders of the International Baccalaureate (IB) program at Champlin Park High School (CPHS), recently presented to a worldwide audience highlighting the school’s program.
Baker-Raivo was a featured panelist in a webinar titled “Tomorrow’s Careers, Today’s Education” on how the IB career program is able to cultivate the competencies that students need to respond to the ever-changing workplace. He shared several key partnerships at CPHS, including the district’s Secondary Technical Education Program (STEP), as well as local partnerships with Anoka-Ramsey Community College and Anoka Technical College.
CPHS senior Amaya Doree joined Baker-Ravio to discuss her experiences in the certified nursing assistant pathway.
The IB program is in its 13th year at CPHS and aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. The program offers students two pathways, the diploma and career programs.
