Staying strong for students, supporting our communities
(04/20/2021) We recognize the impact and strong emotion that can follow the announcement of the verdict in the Derek Chauvin trial, and the numerous other issues impacting our communities over the past year.
We will continue to stress being a safe and welcoming environment for all students as our first priority. Our building leaders and staff have been asked to remain alert for students who are struggling so they can be directed to support available in our schools.
The Minnesota Department of Education has directed that the district should accommodate the requests of parents/guardians who wish to excuse their children from school for personal reasons in response to the verdicts. Please call the attendance line at school to make these arrangements if needed.
Thank you for your support of students and schools.
