2019-20 Applications due Jan. 15 for in-district transfer and open enrollment, NWSISD due Dec. 31
(12/07/18) Deadlines are approaching for various 2019-20 enrollment options.
Families interested in applying for in-district transfer – current Anoka-Hennepin families wanting to go to a school other than their assigned site and provide transportation – must submit their applications by Jan. 15, 2019. Go to ahschools.us/enrollment for an application and additional information.
The same Jan. 15, 2019 deadline applies to families interested in applying for open enrollment – families wanting to attend a school district outside their assigned home school district and provide transportation. Again, go to ahschools.us/enrollment for an application and additional information.
Families interested in Northwest Suburban Integration School District (NWSISD) specialty schools – Monroe and University Avenue elementary schools, Anoka Middle School for the Arts, and Blaine and Coon Rapids high schools – must submit their applications by Dec. 31, 2018. Go to a nws.k12.mn.us for an application and more information.
New attendance boundaries will be in effect for several elementary schools and Blaine and Coon Rapids middle schools next school year. The School Board approved these new attendance boundaries at its September meeting. The process included more than seven months of community engagement – in fact, five of the six new attendance boundaries are alternate plans that included community suggestions. Details are at ahschools.us/boundaries.
