(05/20/2025) Coon Rapids High School DECA returned from the International DECA Competition in Orlando Florida with two international finalists and many more accolades.

This four-day competition was attended by 26,000 DECA members from 25 countries.

Coon Rapids DECA had TWO students that placed Top 10 in the world in their events!

• Senior Kelsey Koehler in Professional Selling: 5th place
• Sophomore Magret Kamwendo in Hotel and Lodging Management: 9th place

Coon Rapids also had two gold level certified School-based-enterprise projects  

• FOOD OPERATIONS: Seniors Kimora Freeman and Peter Bruhjell
• RETAIL OPERATIONS: Seniors Justyne Vue and Adreanna Fowlkes

Coon Rapids DECA was also recognized for raising the 6th most amount of money for The Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).
