Afternoon bus schedule modified, activities canceled for Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2023
(01/03/2023) Due to heavy snow expected to last throughout the afternoon, the Anoka-Hennepin School District will run a modified dismissal schedule, and after-school and evening activities in the Anoka-Hennepin School District have been canceled on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2023.
The safety of all students and staff is the first priority. Adventures Plus school-age care will remain open until all children have been picked up.
After-school and evening activities will be canceled today, Tuesday, Jan. 3; see details:
- Community Education activities and classes after 12 p.m. have been canceled, including Adult Basic Education, Adult Learning, Aquatics, Community School programs, Early Childhood Family Education, Project Power and Preschool. See the Community Education website for more details.
- Afternoon Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) programs will be canceled.
- Compass Online programs with students reporting at 11:45 a.m. are canceled.
Details about transportation home:
- A modified dismissal time is in place for high schools and middle schools in an effort to ensure buses run on schedule through the remainder of the afternoon:
- High schools will dismiss 30 minutes early.
- Middle schools will dismiss 15 minutes early.
- Elementary schools will be dismissed on time.
- Buses may be late by half an hour or more because driving conditions often slow traffic. Please avoid calling the school or the Transportation Department (763-506-1125) unless your child is more than half an hour late returning home.
