Middle school dance teams shine at annual districtwide competition
(4/16/25) Community Education hosted its highly-anticipated annual districtwide middle school dance competition on Wednesday, April 16, drawing a packed crowd of enthusiastic supporters to Anoka High School. The event, a long-standing tradition, brought together A and B teams from schools across the district to showcase their talent, energy, and dedication.
Family and friends filled the stands, cheering on the dancers who have been working tirelessly all season to perfect their routines. Each team performed a choreographed dance to songs of their choice, highlighting months of practice, teamwork, and school spirit.
The competition was divided into two categories: A teams and B teams, with judges tasked with the difficult job of selecting the top three in each division. The level of skill and creativity on display made for a thrilling and closely contested event.
“This is always such a fun and competitive night,” said Stefanie Nelson, Community Education programmer. “The dancers bring their best, and the crowd’s energy is incredible.”
