PRESCHOOL REGISTRATION BEGINS JAN. 30
(2/1/17)Anoka-Hennepin Community Education coordinates School Readiness Preschool, which prepares children for kindergarten. Registration for the 2017-18 school year begins Mon., Jan. 30. Registration is done through a lottery, which gives everyone an
equal chance to receive their first choice class. Deadlines are accepted through the following dates:

- The registration lottery for families who live in the Anoka-Hennepin School District is Fri., Feb. 17 at 8 a.m. Registrations received after this date will be placed on a space available basis.
- Families who live outside of the Anoka-Hennepin School District may register for School Readiness Preschool beginning Wed., Feb. 22 at 8 a.m.
Classes are held from September to May/June throughout the Anoka-Hennepin Schools. Morning, afternoon and evening times are available.

Registrations may be submitted online through a new community education registration system. The new online registration system allows you to:
- Search for classes by location, age, day of week and more.
- Browse and register for courses on a smartphone or tablet.
- View upcoming enrollment details.
- Download and print payment receipts.
- Receive class reminder emails.

Eligibility
All children must be toilet trained to attend School Readiness Preschool classes. Age requirements for classes are:
- Three-year-old classes: Child must be three years of age on September 1, 2017.
- Four-year-old classes: Child must be four years of age on September 1, 2017.

This event is free and open to all parents/guardians of preschool-aged children (age three or four by September 1, 2017). It’s a casual event designed to make the preschool selection process a little easier. Although this information night is free, pre-registration is requested; walk-in registration is accepted on a space available basis. Register online or call 763-506-1500.
