Roosevelt Community Pool makes a splash with a national award

Roosevelt Pool Anoka-Hennepin Schools efforts to inform and engage students, staff and community have been recognized as some of the nation’s best through the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA), a professional organization for education-based communicators from across the country; and Anoka-Hennepin Community Education received a National Golden Achievement Award from the NSPRA for work supporting upgrades and improvements at Roosevelt Community Pool. The district was one of 153 school districts in the nation to be recognized at this level and the only school district in Minnesota to earn this status for 2019.


Updates and criteria that helped earn the National Golden Achievement Award included:

  • the installation of new signage,
  • replacement of aquatic equipment,
  • updated drinking fountains,
  • dedicating space for a designated family changing area,

Scheduling from August - September

We invite you to dive in and visit! Roosevelt Community Pool is an indoor pool, open year-round; rain, snow or shine!

The summer schedule allows the pool to be open through Aug. 2.
The fall schedule allows the pool to be open Sept. 29 - Dec. 20.


Try one of the many aquatic programs available to the public:

  • Adult lap swim
  • Aqua jogging
  • Diving clinics
  • Recreational open swim

  • Swimming lessons for youth and adults
  • Toddler Pool Time
  • Water walking

Programs at the pool are coordinated by Anoka-Hennepin Community Education.
