Adventures Plus accepting full-time registrations for summer child care

Kids running in gym, spread apart Need summer child care? Adventures Plus school-age care will be open this summer, June 17 through August 28. Openings are still available at summer sites across the district for students in kindergarten through sixth-grade on a full-time basis.

Full-time attendance is not required, however, families will be responsible for paying for all 52 days of summer child care - which enables the program to practice social distancing and follow state health guidelines and direction from the Minnesota departments of education (MDE) and health (MDH), and the United States Center for Disease Control (CDC). Children and staff will remain in consistent groups of 10 people.

Adventures Plus provides a safe, nurturing atmosphere for students during the summer, emphasizing the development of social, emotional, physical and intellectual skills. Incoming kindergarten students practice school readiness skills, such as letter and number recognition, basic concept of print, group participation and social interaction.

Adventures Plus opens each day at 6:30 a.m., and closes at 6 p.m. Daily rates are $33.60 a day, or $168 a week. Read more about Anoka-Hennepin Community Education’s response to COVID-19, and summer program plans for Adventures Plus school-age care.
