Anoka-Hennepin school board candidates participate in League of Women Voters forum
(10/19/21) Anoka-Hennepin school board candidates participated in a “Meet the Candidates” forum on October 14. The League of Women Voters Anoka, Blaine, Coon Rapids Area (LWV ABC) hosted the non-partisan forum to help voters obtain information about candidates’ stands on issues. This year’s event was recorded without a live audience to maintain physical distancing requirements, although community members were asked to submit questions ahead of time.
On Nov. 2, voters within Districts 3,4, and 6 will elect representatives to serve as school board members for the next four years, with their terms beginning January 1, 2022. Voters can see which district they live in, locate their polling place (which may be different from past primary and general elections) by visiting Minnesota Secretary of State polling place finder. Information is also available about early voting, registering to vote, and updating voter registration information.
The candidate forums were produced by local cable television station QCTV and are available for voters to watch.
