Putting 'U' in Community Education: Tre's Story

Tre with students (10/25/22) Anoka-Hennepin Community Education is dedicated to lifelong learning, involving people and enriching communities. We want YOU to see yourself in our community…that’s why we’re focused on sharing our stories through a new series called Putting ‘U’ in Community Education. We want YOU to see all the ways people interact with Community Education. We want you to see all the different things we do, how we can help, and how we touch lives.

Our latest Putting ‘U’ in Community Education video highlights the success of one of our programs. A partnership between Adventures Plus school-age care, Anoka-Hennepin Schools Student Services and the Anoka County Job Training Center, the Future Leaders program creates employment opportunities and job training for high school students focusing on recruiting and retaining students of color, while also helping Adventures Plus resolve staffing shortages. In this video, we’ll introduce you to Anoka-Hennepin graduate and staff member Tre’ Rundles, who started as a Future Leader and is now working as a site coordinator for Adventures Plus.
