Adult Learning offers Overdose Response Training Class
(9/11/24) Anoka-Hennepin Community Education is offering a new class teaching adults how to save a life with naloxone. After taking the Steve Rummler HOPE Network naloxone training, participants will learn about opioids and get current data on the opioid crisis.
They’ll also learn how to recognize signs of an opioid overdose; what naloxone is and how it works to reverse an opioid overdose; protection provided by Steve’s Law, and where and how to get naloxone. Finally, adults will understand the steps they need to take when responding to an overdose and how to administer naloxone.
Each participant will go home with a free IM Naloxone Kit. Although this is a free class, pre-registration is required.
