Weather conditions impact schedules for Thursday, Oct. 31, 2024, afternoon transportation schedules modified

(10/31/2024) Due to changing weather and road conditions impacting travel throughout the afternoon and early evening hours, the district is making adjustments to afternoon schedules for the safety of students and staff.

Modified afternoon schedule: The school day will continue as usual, however, secondary schools will dismiss early as a preventative measure to help buses run on schedule the remainder of the afternoon.

  • High schools: Will dismiss 30 minutes early.
  • Middle schools: Will dismiss 15 minutes early or until all buses are full with students as a preventative measure to help buses run on schedule through the remainder of the afternoon.
  • Elementary schools: Will release at the regularly scheduled bell times.

Buses may be late by half an hour or more because driving conditions often slow traffic. Please avoid calling the school or the Transportation Department (763-506-1125) unless your child is more than half an hour late returning home.

Activities: After-school and evening activities at elementary and middle schools in the Anoka-Hennepin School District have been canceled for today, Thursday, October 31, 2024.

  • High school activities: Determined by activity. Check with coach or advisor.
  • Adventures Plus school-age care: Will remain open until all children have been picked up.
