Anoka-Hennepin Educational Foundation steps up to support students and staff during COVID-19 uncertainty

(03/27/2020) The mission of the Anoka-Hennepin Educational Foundation (AHEF) is to cultivate equitable and innovative experiences through partnerships withTarget donates 54,000 bags to help district distribute distance learning supplies to students compassionate people who have generous hearts. While the AHEF is constantly supporting students and staff, the COVID-19 pandemic situation has provided a unique situation for the foundation.

Looking to help students get everything they need to begin distance learning, the AHEF found a local partner in Target Corporation. Target donated 54,000 bags to help Anoka-Hennepin schools provide students with the necessary tools to begin distance learning. Throughout the week, partners have donated other items to help schools in their communities.

Due to the recent circumstances, the AHEF launched a campaign for agility funding to help meet the emerging needs of district students and staff. Donations will give the capacity and flexibility to meet the not yet known (and not necessarily budgeted for) needs to ensure students and staff are able to effectively implement distance learning in the coming weeks.
