Our class will consist of lectures, discussions/debates, group projects, individual research, readings, films, student presentations, document work, quizzes and exams. Points are awarded accordingly. To earn an A or a B in this class, outside work/preparation must be done. In order to receive full points on an assignment, you must show at least 70% mastery. Anything below 70% will be marked as incomplete.

Test corrections: May do this if you receive below a 70% on a test.

Make up work for absences are two days for each school day missed. If you miss a day, please speak to your teacher about what you missed and how to make it up.

Late work will be accepted up until the end of the trimester.

Grades will be determined by using the following percentages:

90-100% = A

To earn: You must have completed the work at an outstanding level. All answers are correct and it is obvious that you did much work outside of class to complete the assignments given. At the end of a unit/tri, all assignments and tests have been completed.

80-89.9% = B

To earn: You must have completed the work at a level that goes above average. All answers are correct and it is obvious that you did some work outside of class to complete the assignments given. At the end of a unit/tri, all assignments and tests have been completed.

70-79.9% = C

To earn: You have completed the work at an average level. Your classroom work, assessments, and CSA must have all been done and passed with a 70% or higher.

< 70% = I
