Welcome Anoka High School Class of 2028! 8th Grade Students, the high school course selection process for the 2024-2025 school year is upon us. There are 2 steps that you need to take for the course selection process to be meaningful to you with your decisions on what courses to select. Some core courses have already been selected for you based on our Anoka-Hennepin graduation requirements, but many electives have not. It is important that you take some time to see what your interests are and then select those courses that support your interests. Course selection begins on January 4th and must be completed by Midnight on January 12th. Below are the 2 steps to do prior to selecting your courses.
Step 1: Begin reviewing the 2024-25 Registration Guide
AHS Course Selection (Registration) Site (this link will be active on 1/4/24)Step 2: Participate in the Curriculum Exploration Event at Anoka High School on January 4th from 2:50 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Students and Parents/Guardians will be able to:
A. Meet with Anoka High School teachers who have taught these courses and ask questions about course content during this same time.
B. Meet and Greet their Anoka High School Counselor
C. Parents may attend an optional 8th grade parent informational meeting. This meeting will review the course selection materials presented to 8th grade students at AMSA during school on Jan. 3. The parent meeting will be held 5:30-6:00 p.m. in the AHS Auditorium.
Watch for more communication on January 3 regarding the Curriculum Exploration Event and High School Course Selection window.
Please contact your current school counselor if you have additional questions.
