Sand Creek fifth grade ambassadors gain mentoring and leadership opportunities by supporting fellow students
(01/06/2023) On Dec. 21, Sand Creek Elementary School fifth grade ambassadors joined students in the developmental cognitive disability (DCD) centerbase program on a field trip to Blainbrook Bowl in a one-to-one peer mentoring and support role.

(09/15/2022) Anoka-Hennepin Schools presented proposed attendance area maps and collected community feedback at a community meeting held Sept. 15 at Coon Rapids High School. No attendance boundary changes are proposed for schools in the Coon Rapids cluster.

2021-22 Above & Beyond Awards winner: Krystyne Hable-Lafean

Announcing recipients of 2022-23 Above & Beyond Awards
(03/03/2023) Thirteen outstanding district employees have been selected to receive the Anoka-Hennepin School District’s 2022-23 Above & Beyond Award. The 2023 Above & Beyond Awards ceremony to honor these 13 exceptional employees will take place Wednesday, March 29 at the Educational Service Center.

Winners of the annual bus safety poster contest to be recognized at transportation department meeting
(02/24/2023) The Anoka-Hennepin transportation department held its 28th annual school bus safety poster contest this winter, which began during Winter School Bus Safety Week (Jan. 9-13). This year’s theme was Safely Rolling to my Destination.
