District seeking feedback on Wellness Policy
(11/05/2024) Every three years, the Anoka-Hennepin School District and its Health, Wellness and Safety Committee conduct a review of Wellness Policy 533.5. The review of the Wellness Policy is required by law and is done to help maintain compliance, assess progress and determine areas in need of improvement.

It's more than just free meals! Apply for educational benefits for the 2024-25 school year
(07/26/2024) All Anoka-Hennepin families are encouraged to apply for the educational benefits program for the 2024-25 school year. A new application must be submitted each school year. The enrollment window for the 2024-25 school year begins Aug. 1, 2024.

Middle school programming is under review, your feedback needed
(05/10/2024) The District is conducting a review of middle school programming this spring and summer, a process last undertaken when the district shifted from a semester-model to a trimester-model at the middle school level in 2009.

Device Protection Plan available to students assigned Chromebooks
(07/28/2022) Technology plays an important role in preparing students for life, and Chromebooks are utilized as a daily learning tool in Anoka-Hennepin middle and high school classrooms. Anoka-Hennepin students in grades 6-12 are assigned a Chromebook from the school district to ensure access to technology systems that support classroom learning.

Kindness takes all of us: winners of annual kindness poster contest announced
(11/14/2024) As part of October’s National Bullying Prevention campaign, Anoka-Hennepin held its 21st annual kindness poster contest. This year’s theme was Kindness Takes All of Us. Students were encouraged to create a poster with that message in mind and delivered a variety of themes to spread kindness in their schools.

MCA scores available for parents/guardians to view online
(11/05/2024) Students in grades 3-8 and in grades 10 and 11 take Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment (MCA) tests. Scores are now available for students who took the test in the 2023-24 school year.

Students participate in tradition of Anoka Halloween, represent schools and marching bands
(10/25/2024) Anoka is known as the “Halloween Capital of the World,” and on the afternoon of Oct. 25, students walked and played instruments at the event.

Special Education Advisory Council Resource Information Night set for November 14
(10/21/2024) The Anoka-Hennepin Schools Special Education Advisory Council (SEAC) is hosting a resource information night on Thursday, November 14 for families of students with special needs to learn about resources available in the community.
