NMS orchestra students perform at Northtown Mall
(12/09/2022) On Dec. 8, eighth grade students in the Northdale Middle School orchestra performed at Northtown Mall in Blaine. The orchestra, which includes more than 50 students, played holiday music for about 30 minutes to family members and patrons of the mall.

Policies in place to provide safe and welcoming environment at district athletic and activities events
(09/30/2022) The goal of co-curricular activities in Anoka-Hennepin Schools is to provide a fun, safe and engaging opportunity for students and community members to support high school students and student-athletes as they perform in sports, fine arts, and other activities.

(09/21/2022) This message is being sent to parents and guardians with students who attend Eisenhower, Jefferson, Johnsville, Madison, McKinley, Sand Creek, Sunrise and University Ave. elementary schools; and Northdale and Roosevelt middle schools.

Device Protection Plan available to students assigned Chromebooks
(07/28/2022) Technology plays an important role in preparing students for life, and Chromebooks are utilized as a daily learning tool in Anoka-Hennepin middle and high school classrooms. Anoka-Hennepin students in grades 6-12 are assigned a Chromebook from the school district to ensure access to technology systems that support classroom learning.

Nine district educators named candidates for Minnesota Teacher of the Year
(01/26/2023) Candidates for the 2023 Minnesota Teacher of the Year award have been announced and Anoka-Hennepin has nine educators who were nominated. The nine Anoka-Hennepin teachers are among 131 candidates for the award statewide.

Mid-year leadership workshop creates opportunities for districtwide feedback, planning for 2023-24 school year
(01/20/23) Principals and administrators from across the district gathered for the annual mid-year leadership workshop on Wednesday, Jan. 18, to hear updates from interim superintendent Dr. Kate Maguire, and other members of the school district’s cabinet.
