Oak View Middle School 27th annual Memorial Day Assembly
(05/26/2023) Oak View Middle School (OVMS) hosted its 27th Annual Memorial Day Assembly May 26 providing a brief history of why the holiday is celebrated, and through selected reading and music, honoring and remembering those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

Parent Attitude and Satisfaction Survey available online until June 16
(05/12/2023) The input of parents and guardians is valuable in helping improve the district’s service to students and families. Parents and guardians of students in Anoka-Hennepin have the opportunity to provide opinions on the schools their children attend in the annual Parent Attitude and Satisfaction Survey.

Policies in place to provide safe and welcoming environment at district athletic and activities events
(09/30/2022) The goal of co-curricular activities in Anoka-Hennepin Schools is to provide a fun, safe and engaging opportunity for students and community members to support high school students and student-athletes as they perform in sports, fine arts, and other activities.

Device Protection Plan available for Chromebooks
Technology plays an important role in preparing students for life, and Chromebooks are utilized as a daily learning tool in Anoka-Hennepin middle and high school classrooms. Anoka-Hennepin students in grades 6-12 are assigned a Chromebook from the school district to ensure access to technology systems that support classroom learning.

District participation in the Summer Food Service Program makes meals available to children at select school sites
(06/02/2023) The Anoka-Hennepin School District will participate in the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), which  provides meals to all children 18 and under, free of charge. Meals will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis, at 14 sites across the district. The program will start Thursday, June 15 at most sites.

District to close Monday, June 19, 2023 in observance of Juneteenth holiday
(05/31/2023) Anoka-Hennepin Schools will be closed on Monday, June 19, 2023, in observance of the Juneteenth state holiday. The decision follows legislation passed into law by the Minnesota Legislature in late May during the most recent legislative session.

Chromebooks available to most high school students over the summer months, make a plan to protect your device
(05/26/2023) In preparation, the Anoka-Hennepin Schools technology team has a distribution and turn-in plan at each school level. To protect your device over the summer months or at the start of the 2023-24 school year, enroll in the Device Protection Plan now.

(05/26/2023) The Anoka-Hennepin School District has been recognized with the Best Communities for Music Education designation from the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) for the ninth year. The honor recognizes a district’s outstanding commitment to music education.
