District to host hiring event for operational positions Feb. 15
(02/01/2023) The Anoka-Hennepin School District will host an in-person hiring event for operational positions Wednesday, Feb. 15 from 2-6 p.m. in the Erling Johnson Rooms A and B at the Educational Service Center (ESC), located at 2727 N Ferry St. in Anoka (enter Door 7).

Nine district educators named candidates for Minnesota Teacher of the Year
(01/26/2023) Candidates for the 2023 Minnesota Teacher of the Year award have been announced and Anoka-Hennepin has nine educators who were nominated. The nine Anoka-Hennepin teachers are among 131 candidates for the award statewide.

Mid-year leadership workshop creates opportunities for districtwide feedback, planning for 2023-24 school year
(01/20/23) Principals and administrators from across the district gathered for the annual mid-year leadership workshop on Wednesday, Jan. 18, to hear updates from interim superintendent Dr. Kate Maguire, and other members of the school district’s cabinet.Â

The Anoka-Hennepin Special Education department is a team of specialized professionals dedicated to assuring "a free, appropriate public education in the least restrictive environment." Our Special Education department serves a little over 6,000 children who range in age from birth through 21.Each one of our schools serve students with special needs. Most students are served in their neighborhood schools and every effort is made to serve them in the regular classroom setting.
