Brookside Elementary Student Council helps two of their own with service project
(03/04/2022) At the beginning of the school year, teachers at Brookside Elementary School helped start a student council to provide students with a leadership opportunity and a voice in decision making. For the group’s first service project, the team decided to support two fellow students by collecting items for The Potato Head Project.

Five district teams represent Minnesota at Destination Imagination Global Finals, Northdale Middle School team places third
(06/02/2023) Anoka-Hennepin sent five teams to the Destination Imagination Global Finals in Kansas City May 20-23 competing against teams from all over the world, including China, India, Canada, Pakistan, Qatar, Turkey, Australia, Brazil, Guatemala, as well as teams from all over the United States.

A nonfiction story: Hundreds of elementary students visit college campus to explore and develop advanced writing skills
(06/02/2023) Fourth- and fifth-grade students from elementary schools across the district turned a new page May 30 and 31, traveling to Bethel University in Arden Hills to attend a Young Authors Conference. The event was a one-day field trip and provided students with a passion for reading and writing new opportunities to learn from and write with Minnesota authors.Â
