(01/19/23) Jess Thomason has been selected to serve as assistant principal Rum River Elementary following the announcement of Heidi Kouba’s appointment as interim principal at Champlin-Brooklyn Park Academy. 

Jess Thomason, currently serving as assistant principal at Sand Creek Elementary, has been named assistant principal at Rum River Elementary. Jess has a strong record of success in Anoka-Hennepin Schools and is currently serving in her third year as assistant principal at Sand Creek Elementary following two years of service as administrative intern at Mississippi Elementary. In the classroom, Thomason led classrooms in Grades 1, 4, and 5 over her six years in the district at both Evergreen Park Elementary and Franklin Elementary.

Thomason’s service at Rum River will begin on Jan. 9, 2023.
