It's more than just free meals! Apply for educational benefits for the 2024-25 school year
(07/26/2024) All Anoka-Hennepin families are encouraged to apply for the educational benefits program for the 2024-25 school year. A new application must be submitted each school year. The enrollment window for the 2024-25 school year begins Aug. 1, 2024.

Community partners provide free dictionaries to McKinley third grade students
(02/01/2024) Each year, the Anoka-Hennepin Educational Foundation (AHEF) along with community partners Anoka, Coon Rapids and the Blaine/Ham Lake Rotary Clubs, the Ramsey and Dayton Lions Clubs, and Connexus Energy, donate dictionaries to every third grade student in the district.

Backpack Online e-newsletter gets a new name and delivery date
(09/06/2024) For years, Anoka-Hennepin Schools has published Backpack Online as a subscription based electronic newsletter. As the 2024-25 school year begins, that publication has transitioned from a weekly to a monthly e-newsletter that will be sent to all parents and guardians of Anoka-Hennepin students and subscribers.

Seeking parents/guardians to participate in Special Education Advisory Council (SEAC)
(09/04/2024) The Special Education Advisory Council serves as a resource and as an advisory council for parent involvement, current issues, program development and priorities for special education programs in the district.

District opens doors at Two Rivers Transition Program at Franklin
(09/04/2024) The new program is a merger of two special education transition programs in the district, Bridges and Pathways, which were formerly located at leased spaces in Andover and Coon Rapids.

District Welcome Center hosts Multilingual Learner Family Night
(09/04/2024) Anoka Hennepin's student services department recently hosted a Multilingual Learner Family Night at the Welcome Center to welcome families to the district. During the event on Aug. 13, district staff supported multilingual families navigating the school system and provided resources to help a successful transition and start the school year.
