Welcome to Chuck Hedstrom's AHRHS English 11 & 12 Classrooms
First, a little bit about me. I'm a veteran teacher with 24 years experience in both large and small schools working with students from Grade 6 to 21 years old. Two years ago I returned to teaching after spending a little over a decade away from the classroom. About seven of those years were spent as a licensed Minnesota building contractor, focusing on siding and window replacement. It was a great change of pace for me, allowing me the freedom to manage some significant life changes.
Though I'm entering only my 3rd year as teacher in the Anoka-Hennepin Public Schools, I'm very familiar with the district, having successfully raised three daughters within the A-H system.
This will be my first year at AHRHS. I've served as the Apex Online classroom teacher at our Crossroads West (18-21) campus for the past two years. I'm looking forward to the coming year and the opportunity to interact with students in a very different way.
