Parent Attitude and Satisfaction Survey available online until June 16
(05/12/2023) The input of parents and guardians is valuable in helping improve the district’s service to students and families. Parents and guardians of students in Anoka-Hennepin have the opportunity to provide opinions on the schools their children attend in the annual Parent Attitude and Satisfaction Survey.

Eagle Bluff Nature Center brings wildlife to Evergreen Park
(04/06/2023) On March 23, the Eagle Bluff Nature Center visited Evergreen Park Elementary: STEM School of Innovation to teach students in kindergarten, first and second grades about reptiles. As a part of the STEM curriculum at Evergreen Park, students in kindergarten, first, and second grade learn all about animals in their third-trimester STEM integration lessons.

Evergreen Park welcomed guest readers during "I Love to Read" month
(03/09/2023) Evergreen Park Elementary - STEM School of Innovation had an exciting end to "I Love to Read" with a lot of guest readers visiting to read with students. Guest readers included KARE 11 meteorologist Guy Brown and morning news anchor Guy Brown.

A nonfiction story: Hundreds of elementary students visit college campus to explore and develop advanced writing skills
(06/02/2023) Fourth- and fifth-grade students from elementary schools across the district turned a new page May 30 and 31, traveling to Bethel University in Arden Hills to attend a Young Authors Conference. The event was a one-day field trip and provided students with a passion for reading and writing new opportunities to learn from and write with Minnesota authors.Â

District participation in the Summer Food Service Program makes meals available to children at select school sites
(06/02/2023) The Anoka-Hennepin School District will participate in the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), which  provides meals to all children 18 and under, free of charge. Meals will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis, at 14 sites across the district. The program will start Thursday, June 15 at most sites.

District to close Monday, June 19, 2023 in observance of Juneteenth holiday
(05/31/2023) Anoka-Hennepin Schools will be closed on Monday, June 19, 2023, in observance of the Juneteenth state holiday. The decision follows legislation passed into law by the Minnesota Legislature in late May during the most recent legislative session.

District recognized for excellence in music education
(05/26/2023) The Anoka-Hennepin School District has been recognized with the Best Communities for Music Education designation from the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) for the ninth year. The honor recognizes a district’s outstanding commitment to music education.

Our STEM innovation program works to empower students to create and design new ideas using our innovation design process. The STEM units and design process require students to think critically. Evergreen STEM innovation units are integrated into multiple content areas throughout the Anoka Hennepin core curriculum.
