Varsity Football start times set for 7 p.m.
(09/03/2025) Varsity home football games will begin at 7 p.m. for the remainder of the 2025 football season following school board direction. This includes home games for all schools in Anoka-Hennepin: Andover, Anoka, Blaine, Champlin Park and Coon Rapids.

SUN Bucks program available for free/reduced-eligible students
(06/04/2025) The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has announced the SUN Bucks program. This income-based food support program provides families $120 per eligible school-aged child to buy groceries when school is out for the summer.

Mississippi Elementary students learn about mental health with T.C. Bear
(11/07/2025) Students at Mississippi Elementary School in Coon Rapids recently had the opportunity to learn more about mental health education with the Minnesota Twins' own mascot, T.C. Bear.

My Vision of Kindness: winners of annual kindness poster contest announced
(11/05/2025) As a part of October’s National Bullying Prevention campaign, Anoka-Hennepin held its 22nd annual kindness poster contest. This year’s theme was My Vision of Kindness. Students were encouraged to create a poster with that message in mind, and they delivered a variety of themes to spread kindness in their schools.

Alley & Ave to hold extended hours sale on Nov. 20
(11/05/2025) Anoka-Hennepin’s student-focused Alley & Ave retail boutique located in Historic Downtown Anoka will have extended hours on Thursday, Nov. 20, until 6 p.m. Everything in the store is 25% off.

Incumbents retain seats in Anoka-Hennepin School Board race
(11/04/2025) Voters returned incumbents Kacy Deschene, Matt Audette and Jeff Simon to serve four-year terms in the Tuesday, Nov. 4 School Board election.
