It is the primary mission of the Anoka-Hennepin School Counseling Programs to support students in developing an individual vision of success to meet their academic, personal/social, post-secondary, college and career readiness goals.

The vision of the STEP school counseling program is to facilitate student growth that will enable every student to graduate with the academic knowledge, career direction and personal/social balance to achieve success, defined by their own values and dreams.  The school counseling program will provide a data driven, developmentally appropriate program to help all students meet their full potential.  The students at STEP will be provided a college and career ready learning experience by establishing a safe and supportive counseling environment, creating genuine relationships and fostering better citizens.
