(07/29/2024) Kaela Rekucki has been named principal for Roosevelt Middle School (RMS). Rekucki brings a strong record of service in education and lifelong connection to RMS and the Blaine community that will serve the school well in her new role.

Rekucki has served as associate principal at Wayzata West Middle School since 2022 and she also served in the Edina School District as Dean of Students, instructional coach and Language Arts Teacher at South View Middle School. 

Blaine is Kaela’s hometown and she is a proud alumni of Anoka-Hennepin Schools. She graduated from Blaine High School (BHS) and attended RMS and Johnsville Elementary School as a student. Rekucki lives in Blaine with children attending BHS and RMS.

Rekucki will join the RMS team soon as preparations continue for the start of the 2024-25 school year.
