Indigenous Peoples’ Day recognized in Anoka-Hennepin Schools
(10/14/2024) The State of Minnesota officially changed the historic Columbus Day Holiday to Indigenous Peoples Day in 2023 and also established a direction for schools.

Update: Middle school program review continues; recommendations to be revised following Sept. 23, 2024 School Board meeting
(10/01/2024) The district will continue exploring opportunities for aligning new courses with state requirements while remaining focused on goals of the district for the 2024-25 school year. Middle schools will not implement a schedule change from the 7 period day to the 6 period day in the 2025-26 school year.

Community review and comment process begins for Phase 2 budget reductions and realignment process
(09/24/2024) The process to determine a solution to address a $21 million budget reduction gap facing Anoka-Hennepin Schools took an important step forward with a draft recommendations presented at the Monday, Sept. 23 Anoka-Hennepin School Board Meeting.

(09/19/2024) Anoka-Hennepin is seeking community members to join the district’s Community Curriculum Advisory Committee (CCAC). The committee will be composed of parents/guardians of elementary, middle and high school students representing each high school attendance area in the district.
