Closing ceremony celebrates 151 years of Franklin
(06/08/2023) Following the annual track and field day at Franklin Elementary School, the school held a Closing Ceremony on June 2 to celebrate 151 years of Franklin being a school site.

Proposed boundaries presented at Sept. 20 community meeting
(09/20/2022) Anoka-Hennepin Schools presented proposed attendance area maps and collected community feedback at a community meeting held Sept. 20 at Anoka High School.

Franklin Elementary School closure and repurposing plan approved, Bridges and Pathways special education programs to relocate
(08/23/2022) A recommendation to close and repurpose Franklin Elementary School as a special education facility for the Bridges and Pathways programs was approved by the school board at its Aug. 22, 2022 meeting.

Review and provide input on future secondary Biology and U.S. History curriculum materials
(10/02/2024) Families, students, staff, and community members are invited to review and provide feedback on two new curriculum options in the areas of secondary science, and social studies. The district will offer both in-person and virtual open house opportunities in October.

Update: Middle school program review continues; recommendations to be revised following Sept. 23, 2024 School Board meeting
(10/01/2024) The district will continue exploring opportunities for aligning new courses with state requirements while remaining focused on goals of the district for the 2024-25 school year. Middle schools will not implement a schedule change from the 7 period day to the 6 period day in the 2025-26 school year.

CPHS named Special Olympics Unified Champion School
(09/27/2024) Champlin Park High School (CPHS) has been named a Special Olympics Unified Champion School demonstrating commitment to inclusion by meeting 10 standards of excellence. CPHS was one of four schools in Minnesota to receive national banner recognition by the Special Olympics as a Unified Champion School in 2024.

Lincoln Elementary receives generous gift from Advent Lutheran Church
(09/27/2024) Advent Lutheran Church, located across the street from Lincoln Elementary School for the Arts in Anoka, recently closed its doors permanently. A staple in the community for over 50 years, Advent has made an impact on the neighborhood. Although the church has closed, it allowed one more opportunity to give back to the community.
