In 7th grade life science we will be focusing on living things in the world around us. We will be looking at different plants, animals, and ourselves to gain an understanding of what cells are and how they work. While learning about cells and the human body we will be looking at diseases and how they affect our cells and us. We will also be learning principles of basic genetics and how genetics play a part in evolution. We will also have a unit on ecology where we will learn about the environment and how plants and animals interact.  

 

During the year we will be using Amplify, google classrom for assignments, extra copies of assignmetns, and resources, quizlet.com (https://quizlet.com/class/1788119/) for vocabulary, and an online textbook as a reference (http://www.ck12.org/book/CK-12-Life-Science-Concepts-For-Middle-School/).  Links to important and helpful sites are also found in google classroom.  

 

Students will be able to find a link to the folder with copies of the assignments in google classroom.  

 

The STEM fair is TBD.  I will handout more information in class and add the information to google classroom as I know more.
