• Your PTO at Work
    PTO volunteers donate their talents and time every year to enrich school programs and events, fundraise to earn money for our school, and recognize our amazing staff.  We work from an annual budget of ~$24,000 that is made possible ONLY through your generous contribution to our fundraisers throughout the year. 
    Classroom Support 
    • $1000/year for school programs, plays, and assemblies for the students 
    • ~$3375/year toward fieldtrip bussing ($5/student)
    • $2200/year for classroom supplies ($50/teacher)
    • $1850/year for extra funds for Art, Music, PhyEd, ESL, Social Worker, Reading/Title, Special Ed and the Media Center 
    • $800/year for fall, winter, Valentine's Day and Fun and Fitness Day snacks for all students 
    • $4000/year for the rental of a second copier for teacher use in main office 
    • $1500/year for workroom copier and supplies 
    • Provides volunteers for the Scholastic Book Fair to help earn money for the Media Center
    Community Building Events
    • $400/year for open house folders 
    • $1000/year for family fun night activities
    • $350/year for the staff water cooler
    • $600/year for a CPHS Scholarship to a former Monroe student 
    • $100/year for the Northern Stars Ball auction donation
    • $400/year for the 5th Grade Graduation Celebration 
    • $350/year for staff appreciation week and conference meals
    • $250/year for landscape plants and materials for our school perennial beds
    • Provides volunteers for Fun and Fitness Day and Celebrity Reader Day
    Talent Development Programs
    • $300/year for the Art Adventure program through the MIA 
    • $100/year for the Destination Imagination teams
    • $50/year for the Thinking Cap Quiz Bowl team
    • $30/year for the school newspaper, The Gearzette 
    • $100/year for the Lego League teams
    • $4680/year for the partial salary of our Volunteer Services Coordinator and related volunteer expenses 
    Special Gifts to Monroe
    • Display cases for student projects installed on both sides of the Lunchroom 
    • Display cases for STEM projects installed across from main office/front door 
    • Voice amplification systems in classrooms 
    • Promethean interactive white boards in classrooms 
    • Recess equipment and games
    • Climbing wall in the gym
    • ActiVote Student Response Device System
    • $5000 toward the new electronic school sign
    • $3560 toward a classroom set of iPads for Project Lead the Way
    • Priport copy machine in the workroom
