These two important fundraisers make ~$20,000 annually and provide support for ~80% of our budget.

 

This year, we will be holding a family fun run/walk on September 28, 2019.  100% of the money raised from this important fundraiser will go directly to the PTO and to puchase new technology for our Monroe students. Students will collect pledges ahead of time to support their run/walk on the school grounds.  Don't forget to check with your company to see if you are eligible for corporate matching.

These smaller fundraisers earn ~$5,000 annually.  Most of them take very little time or effort but help the Monroe and the PTO in a BIG way.

 

Simply go to smile.amazon.com when you shop. It’s the same great Amazon shopping experience and same prices too. The first time you go to the site you will be asked to choose your charitable organization. Please choose “Monroe Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization PTO” in Brooklyn Park, MN. The Monroe PTO will receive 0.5% of your eligible AmazonSmile purchases whenever your shop at smile.amazon.com. 

 

Four times a year, the PTO organizes a Subway Night with the Subway at the corner of 85th Ave. and Hwy. 252.  Simply stop by the Subway at anytime during that day and mention Monroe when you order.  A portion of all sales comes back to us!  

 

We earn money by saving box tops for education logos found on over 550 General Mills, Betty Crocker and Pillsbury Products. Each logo is worth $.10. Visit www.boxtops4education.com for more information or click here to see a list of eligible products. Box Tops can be sent to school with your child at any time. Save Box Tops, cut to size, and send to school with your student.

 

Look for Tyson Project A+ labels on select frozen and pre-cooked Tyson chicken products.  Clip the labels and send them to school with your child.  We earn $0.24 for each label redeemed. Click here for more information about this program and to see a list of eligible products.

  

We can earn 5¢ for every cap or bag top collected from Kwik Trip and Kwik Star’s Nature’s Touch® products.  Once we have collected 1000 caps and bag tops, we can send them in for redemption.  Simply save them up and send them to school with your student.  Click here for more information.

A Scholastic Book Fair will be held during spring conferences this year.  Buying books at the school book fair not only encourages a love of reading in your child, but a portion of the proceeds will also be donated to Monroe Elementary for use in the Media Center.
