(02/01/2024) Monroe Elementary School - Mathematics, Science and Children’s Engineering has been named a 2024 Magnet Schools of America School of Distinction. MSA national merit awards are given to magnet schools that demonstrate a commitment to high academic standards, curriculum innovation, successful desegregation and diversity efforts, and strong parent and community involvement.
(11/09/2023) Join parents and guardians from the Anoka-Hennepin Schools community for information and resources to support the needs of students today. Anoka-Hennepin is hosting three Parent Engage 360 community and parent education events during the 2023-24 school year. These events aim to provide resources for parents and guardians to support their students and others in the community.
(10/24/2023) Monroe Elementary School - Mathematics, Science and Children’s Engineering was recognized with the 2023 Minnesota’s Future Award from the Minnesota Business Partnership (MBP) at a ceremony Oct. 18.

(02/26/2024) The working agreement includes historic funding support for teachers and was ratified by Anoka-Hennepin Education Minnesota members with a 77% member approval.
(02/25/2024) Five presentations of a multicultural show were hosted by Blaine High School (BHS) student leaders Feb. 22 in honor of Black History Month, as a way to acknowledge and celebrate all student cultures.

(02/23/2024) A student magazine at Anoka Middle School for the Arts (AMSA) titled, The Storm, has been selected to receive the rank of Superior in the 2023 National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) Recognizing Excellence in Art and Literary Magazines (REALM) program.
